Our initiative creates a pipeline of educated and skilled individuals, starting with agriculture education programs in high school, moving to education or training at the post-secondary level, and ending in a viable career, through a variety of strategies with our partners.

The post-secondary division of the California Agriculture Teachers Association leads a student leadership committee where student events are organized. Annually the committee plans the spring student competitions and events designed to promote leadership and career development. The Spring Competition is hosted by a different college each year. Below is a list of competitions and a link to their guidelines.
Collegiate Agriculture Leaders
The Collegiate Agriculture Leaders (CAL) is a statewide student organization that promotes leadership and career awareness in the Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Environmental Technology sector. Additional CAL events have included a statewide leadership training conference and industry tours. All of these events serve to provide students with opportunity to excel outside of the classroom.
